Services & Pricing
What I Offer: Your Own Trained Rescue Goose-Chasing Dog At GooseBusters, I specialize in matching golf courses with high-potential rescue dogs, providing 4–6 weeks of customized, overwhelmingly positive-reinforcement training, and facilitating the adoption/sale so you own a reliable, full-time K9 partner. No ongoing service contracts or fees—just a loyal companion that handles goose hazing naturally, reduces turf damage from grazing/droppings/aggression, and often becomes the course's beloved mascot.
Key Elements Included
Thorough assessment to find a friendly, drive-matched rescue dog (not breed-specific—could be herding mixes or other high-energy types with the right traits).
Tailored training: basics (obedience, recall, leash work), goose-specific herding/hazing, plus extras like water retrieves for ponds, calm behavior around golfers/kids/pets, and building physical/mental balance to prevent injury or burnout.
Emphasis on a rock-solid recall and a happy, well-rounded dog that thrives both on the course and at home.
On-site handover/training days (several included free within ~1 hour of Ottawa; travel discussed for farther placements across Canada).
Ongoing support tips and check-ins after placement.

Pricing The total investment for a fully trained, ready-to-work rescue dog ranges from $2,500 to $10,000 CAD, depending on the dog's quality, age, experience level, drive, and specific customizations needed for your course (e.g., advanced water work or extra lifestyle adaptations push toward the higher end).
This range reflects the dog's proven abilities and the value of professional training—not just time invested.

Important notes: This does not include the separate adoption fee from the rescue organization (typically modest, as it's a shelter/rescue dog).
From each successful placement, I personally make a donation to support the rescue's ongoing work—it's part of the win-win.
Compared to annual service contracts (which can run $5,000–$10,000+ per year for regular patrols, if available in your area), owning your own trained dog is a one-time cost with long-term savings and a permanent team member.

How to Get Started: I'm always scouting dogs available through partner rescues and building relationships with them. I don't keep any dogs in training until an agreement is made. If you're interested, a deposit holds your spot as priority—so the next suitable dog is offered to you first. If I can't find a good match, you get your deposit back, no questions asked.
Please reach out directly via email or phone. I can send you a quick introduction email with some questions and some more information, or we can hop on a call to discuss your course's needs.
